Disrupted by missiles and drones during the US-Israeli strikes on Iran that started on February 28, Dubai, the commercial and trade center of the United Arab Emirates, witnessed massive evacuations of businesspeople and billionaires, followed by the shutdowns of numerous branches of top global companies. To restore market confidence, Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai, attended a conference themed on Dubai's economic resilience in March. After addressing nearly 300 business people, he signed legislation to ensure that construction projects across Dubai continued.
