If you’ve lost your pet, Liu Wei likely has a good lead. The 33-year-old Shanghai native told media that over the past eight years, his pet detective team has reunited more than 1,000 lost pets with their owners. The firm has a 40 percent case success rate for dogs and a whopping 70 percent for cats. Liu’s team often uses a full arsenal of sleuthing gear like infrared detectors and drones. Although he has considered quitting what he says is a tough business, Liu feels it’s all worth it when he sees his clients reunited with their beloved pets.
