China’s State Council issued a new action plan on soil pollution control in late May, pledging to curb this growing problem by 2020, and that 95 percent of farmland and construction sites will be“safe for use” by 2030. 
 
The action plan proposed 10 measures covering surveying, legislation, categorized management, prevention and repair.
