New York School Embraces Bilingual Education

The International Academy of New York teaches classes in Spanish and Chinese to better prepare young students for an increasingly globalized world

The International Academy of New York, a private school located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, focuses on bilingual education in Chinese and Spanish as second languages. Students from preschool through fifth grade spend 40 percent or more of their week immersed in language, music and art classes taught by native speakers.
