uropean non-English markets, and in particular France, Italy and Spain, have become a New World for China’s cross-border e-commerce retail industry, announced the American e-commerce giant eBay.
The European E-Commerce Association expects the continent’s B2C market size to reach €625 billion (US$656 billion), with consumers in France, Italy and Spain being particularly fond of crossborder online shopping.
Challenges once hampering the industry, like logistics and language barriers, are being dealt with ever more effectively, resulting in non-English-speaking markets becoming increasingly receptive to Chinese goods.
Chinese sellers with sharp business acumen have thus increasingly turned to the market for further growth.
Aside from adding new impetus to China’s cross-border e-commerce, the new turn also presents new opportunities for China to increase its production capacity and optimize economic structure.
